Nassau County Police Marine Bureau Marine 6 officers responded on Sunday, Sept. 22 at 5:40 p.m. to a call for a capsized vessel with three people in the water of Reynolds Channel in the area of East Marina, according to police.

When police arrived it was determined by both the United States Coast Guard and Nassau County Marine Bureau that a paddle craft had capsized, placing the three girls aboard into the water due to strong currents, said Nassau County Police.

Marine 6 recovered a 13-year-old boy and two 14-year-old females from the water, according to police.

The three teenagers were brought to East Marina where they were left in the custody of their parents and no injuries were reported, according to police.
